MP Ajay Bhatt gets place in PM Modi’s cabinet expansion

Finally 43 leaders have been included in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet. It was already believed that  MP Ajay Bhatt may get a place in PM Modi’s cabinet. Now, former BJP state president and Lok Sabha MP Ajay Bhatt has finally got a place in the Modi cabinet. According to the information, he had also gone to the PM residence, where he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. LAjay Bhatt is currently the MP from Nainital-Udhamsinghnagar. Ajay Bhatt was born on May 01, 1961 in Ranikhet, Almora district. His life was quite a struggle in his early days. He represented the Ranikhet region in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly by winning the election from Ranikhet for the first time in 1996.

Ajay Bhatt has also served as the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee and the Privileges Committee of the Legislative Assembly in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. When Uttarakhand was separated from Uttar Pradesh on 9 November 2000, after that he became a minister in the interim government. He represented and won the Ranikhet Legislative Assembly from 2002 to 2007 and 2012 to 2017. He was the Leader of the Opposition in the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly from 18 May 2012 to 15 March 2017. In 2015, Ajay Bhatt was given the dual responsibility of the Leader of the Opposition as well as the BJP State President by unanimous consent. In the 2019 Lok Sabha, Nainital-Udham Singhnagar, he was elected MP for the first time. In this election, he defeated veterans like Harish Rawat, former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, by about three and a half lakh votes and became the MP who won the most votes in the state.
