Notification issued for recruitment in irrigation department Uttarakhand

With assembly elections round the corner, the government is busy wooing the youth. This is the reason that the departments which had not been recruited for years are now conducting recruitment drives. In an election year, the government’s focus is on government recruitment. Newly appointed CM Pushkar Singh Dhami had given instructions to fill 22,000 government posts lying vacant as soon as he took over as the chief minister. After the instructions of the Chief Minister, one department after the other is taking out bumper recruitments. After the order of CM Dhami, the ministers of the concerned department have started the recruitment process on a war footing. Recently, the Forest Department had announced to fill the vacancies on the vacant posts. Now on Monday, Irrigation Minister Satpal Maharaj held a review meeting with the departmental officers. During this, he has approved direct recruitment and promotion on 2046 posts under Group A, B, and C in the Irrigation Department. Soon the recruitment process will be started on 2046 vacant posts under the Irrigation Department in Uttarakhand.

Irrigation Minister Satpal Maharaj while directing the officials said that the recruitment process should be started on the vacant posts of the department as soon as possible to provide employment to the unemployed youth of the state. The Irrigation Minister said that the works of Kolidhek lake under construction in Champawat district, Tharkot lake under construction in Pithoragarh district and other under construction lakes would be completed by October 2021. He has given instructions to the concerned officials to complete the identification of land for the work of Song project as well as to prepare the rehabilitation policy. Irrigation Minister Maharaj told the officials that it is his responsibility to make available the departmental information and information in view of the disaster to the public on time. Satpal Maharaj has already given strict instructions to the officers that if the works are not completed on time, then strictest action will be taken against the officials concerned.
