Uttarakhand corona update: 40 new cases; 48 recover on 11 August
40 new corona infected have been found in Uttarakhand in the last 24 hours. At the same time, one patient has died. While 48 patients were sent home after recovery. Now, the number of active cases has come down to 435.
According to the bulletin issued by the Health Department, on Wednesday, the test report of 20307 samples has come negative. Not a single infected patient has been reported in Tehri district. While, two cases each have been reported in Almora, Champawat, Nainital, Rudraprayag and Udham Singh Nagar, eight in Bageshwar, four in Chamoli, seven in Dehradun, three in Haridwar, one each in Pauri and Uttarkashi and six in Pithoragarh.
So far, the total number of corona infected in the state has increased to 342502. Of these, 328658 people have been cured. A total of 7369 people have lost their lives due to corona in the state.
The pace of vaccination is increasing in the state due to the regular receipt of the dose of vaccine from the central government. On Tuesday, the state got one lakh vaccines from the Center. Today a consignment of 72 thousand Covishield and 30 thousand Covaxin will be received.
State Immunization Officer Dr. Kuldeep Martolia told that there is no shortage of vaccine in the state. Vaccines are constantly being made available by the central government.
At the same time, one lakh vaccine doses have been received from the central government. So far more than 67 lakh people have been vaccinated in the state. In the age group of 18 to 44, more than 26.22 lakh people have been vaccinated with first dose and 1.29 lakh people have been vaccinated.
