Plans underway to start helicopter services in 7 cities in Uttarakhand

Helicopter air service will start in seven cities of Uttarakhand from October 7. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia will launch the heli services. On Tuesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in an important meeting with Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia through virtual medium from the Secretariat regarding increasing air services in Uttarakhand.

Scindia said that the new terminal at Jolly Grant will be inaugurated on October 7. The Dehradun-Pantnagar-Pithoragarh-Pantnagar-Dehradun air service will also be flagged off during the Heli Summit. This service will be provided by Pawan Hans. Dehradun-Pithoragarh heli service will be approved soon. Civil Aviation Secretary Dilip Jawalkar, Additional Secretary Swati S Bhadauria were also present on the occasion.

Heli service route

Dehradun-Srinagar, Dehradun-Gauchar, Haldwani-Haridwar, Pantnagar-Pithoragarh, Chinyalisaur – Sahastradhara, Gauchar-Sahastradhara, Haldwani-Dharchula.

13 new heliports will be built

Land has been earmarked for 13 heliports in Uttarakhand. Out of these, the Detail Project Report (DPR) of 11 has been prepared. The tender process of eight will be completed by October 20. The DPR of Mussoorie Heliport will also be ready soon. The connectivity of cities with Jolly Grant airport will be increased further. The process of Pantnagar Greenfield Airport will be further expedited.
