Two day orange rain alert issued in Uttarakhand

In Uttarakhand, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rains in the state till September 11. There is no possibility of any special change in the weather of September 12 and 13, but at present there is no alert for the future. Director of the Meteorological Department, Bikram Singh said that heavy to very heavy rains may occur in the mountainous region of Uttarakhand state on 10th and 11th.

At some places there will also be lightning and thunder. Due to heavy to heavy rains and heavy showers, there may be light to moderate landslides in sensitive areas, road blockage in hilly areas, water logging in low-lying areas of plains. Travelers have been advised to avoid traveling in hilly areas. The local administration has also been alerted to take precautionary security measures and meet the emergency situation. Light to moderate rain may occur in some districts of Kumaon division and Garhwal region on 12th and 13th. The weather ahead is being monitored.
