Amit Shah sounds poll bugle ahead of Uttarakhand assembly elections
Union Home and Cooperation Minister and former BJP National President Amit Shah is on a one-day tour of Uttarakhand on Saturday. During this, he has fiercely attacked the Congress. He said that Congress is a party that backtracks on its promises.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that ‘we are working with a clear intention. We have counted works worth 85 thousand crores. On which work is going on in Uttarakhand. These works will be completed in the next five years. But Congress only protests or else goes to the shelter of Rahul Gandhi in Delhi.’
Shah challenged former Chief Minister Harish Rawat and asked that there should be a discussion at any crossroads on how much work the Congress has done on the manifesto of the time of its government. Shah challenged them to an open debate. He said that the BJP has fulfilled about 85 per cent of the promises made in its manifesto.
Amit Shah said ‘where is the Congress party in crisis? Congress is visible only in elections. Party leaders are getting new clothes stitched. The party was not seen during the floods and corona outbreak in the state.’
‘The announcements made by us during the 2017 election are almost complete.’ He alleged that there was a liquor scam during Congress’s tenure.
During the program, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that with the immediate help sent in the form of three helicopters to the center at the time of disaster, we were able to save the lives of about five hundred people in time. For this he thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He said that in such times they supported us like a parent.
The Chief Minister said that more than one and a half lakh pilgrims had come to the state during the disaster. But not a single pilgrim was harmed due to timely alerts and activation of administrative machinery.
The Chief Minister said that the life of mothers and sisters would become easier with the Mukhyamantri Ghasiyari Kalyan Yojana. Nutritious fodder for the animals will be available at home itself. The mandate announced by our government was also issued. Loans are being distributed under the Chief Minister’s Self-employment Scheme in every district to recruit 24 thousand vacant posts in various departments and to connect the youth with self-employment. He said that the target of 100 percent dose of Covid vaccine has been achieved in Uttarakhand.
