Market closes at record levels

Today, the first trading day of the week i.e. on Monday, the stock market closed on the green mark after the day’s ups and downs. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s flagship index Sensex closed at 60,135.78, up 76.72 points (0.13 per cent). On the other hand, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 17,945.95 with a gain of 50.75 points (0.28 per cent). This is the highest level of closing of Sensex-Nifty. Last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 1,293.48 points or 2.20 per cent. It is known that the Sensex reached a high of 60476.13 during trading today. Nifty crossed 18 thousand level for the first time. Nifty moved from 17,000 to 18,000 in total 28 sessions.

Market will be affected by these factors this week

This week’s quarterly results of Infosys, Wipro and HCL Technologies, macroeconomic data and global trend will decide the direction of stock markets. Stock markets will remain closed on Friday on ‘Dussehra’. Industrial production (IIP) and inflation data will come on Tuesday. Inflation data based on Wholesale Price Index will come on Thursday. Apart from this, according to analysts, the market will also get direction from the trend of foreign institutional investors, Brent crude oil prices and rupee volatility.

Such was the condition of blue chip stocks

Talking about the big stocks, after the day’s trading, the shares of Tata Motors, Coal India, Maruti, Power Grid and Grasim closed on the green mark. On the other hand, shares of Tech Mahindra, Infosys, TCS, HCL Tech and Britannia closed in the red mark.

Looking at the sectoral index, today all sectors except IT closed on the green mark. These include finance services, FMCG, realty, pharma, media, banks, private banks, auto, metal and PSU banks.

The market was open on the red mark in the early trade

In early trade, the Sensex opened at 59958.81, down 100.25 points or 0.17 per cent. At the same time, the Nifty opened at the level of 17872 with a fall of 23.20 points (0.13 percent).

In the previous session, the stock market closed on the edge after day’s volatility. The Sensex closed at 60,059.06 with a gain of 381.23 points (0.64 per cent). On the other hand, Nifty closed at 17,895.20 with a gain of 104.85 points (0.59 per cent).
