NCR air pollution: Schools in Gurugram, Faridabad to remain close till November 17

Due to the increasing air pollution, now the Haryana government has also decided to close the schools following the footsteps of Delhi government. The government has announced closure of schools in Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonepat and Jhajjar till November 17. The government has also banned all types of construction work in all these cities of NCR. The government has issued a detailed guideline in this regard. At the same time, on Saturday, the Delhi government had also announced that all schools in the capital would remain closed for a week from Monday. Government officials and employees have been sent to work from home. The government will also send advisory related to this for private offices. All construction related activities will remain closed till November 17.

Construction activities completely halted in Delhi

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that all schools are being physically closed for a week from Monday, but virtual classes will continue. With this, the children will not have to leave the house. Pollution monitoring agencies say that the winds will not blow till November 17 and stubble smoke from neighboring states will continue to enter Delhi. In this case the situation may get a little worse. Therefore, construction activities will be completely stopped during this period.

Tough step of imposing lockdown is also possible

Arvind Kejriwal told that a suggestion was coming out from time to time that if the situation becomes very bad, then can Delhi be completely locked down. It is being worked out. ‘We are not imposing lockdown right now. We are making a proposal for this and we will place this proposal before the Supreme Court.’
