Uttarakhand government declares Chhath puja holiday on November 10

Public holiday on the occasion of Chhath has been declared in hilly state like Uttarakhand. In the order issued by the government, it has been written that regarding the declaration of public holiday in the state of Uttarakhand, by amending the restricted holiday declared for Chhath Puja date, November 10, 2021 (Wednesday), (except for treasury and sub-treasuries) declared public holidays. The Governor has approved the departure. Now, on Chhath Puja date, November 10, 2021, there will be a holiday in Uttarakhand.

The festival of Chhath Puja is primarily celebrated with enthusiasm in Bihar and the eastern states. Women open the fast by offering prayers to the Sun God. In Haridwar, on the banks of the Ganges, a large number of women are engaged in the worship on Chhath.
