Uttarakhand Corona update: Active cases crosses 5000
Over 1000 corona cases were reported in Uttarakhand for the third consecutive day. After the increase in corona infection in Uttarakhand, now the death toll of patients has also increased. On Monday, five infected people undergoing treatment in various hospitals died. The death toll of such a number of patients in a single day from Corona has come to the fore after 23 June 2021. According to the bulletin of the Health Department, three people died in AIIMS Rishikesh, one in Doon Medical College and one in Pauri district on Monday.
With this, the total number of people who died of corona in the state has gone up to 7429. On Monday, 441 new patients were found in Dehradun, 254 in Haridwar, 220 in Nainital, 193 in US Nagar. Apart from this, 36 new infected have been found in Almora, 7 in Bageshwar, 15 in Chamoli, 7 in Champawat, 56 in Pauri, 12 in Pithoragarh, 14 in Rudraprayag, 28 in Tehri and 9 in Uttarkashi.
On Monday, 294 patients were discharged from hospitals across the state, taking the number of active patients to 5009. The rate of corona infection in the state is 7.57 percent while the recovery rate of patients is more than 94 percent. On Monday, reports of about 15700 samples were received from the lab, while about 21 thousand samples have been sent for examination.
