Russian forces seize control of Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant

Today is the ninth day of the war between Russia and Ukraine. Russian military attack on Ukraine is not taking the name of stopping after second round discussions between the two sides failed to stop the war. Meanwhile, Russian military forces have seized the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant in Ukraine’s southeast.

According to the news agency Reuters, a local authority has claimed that the Russian army has taken it after the morning attack. Russia had attacked this plant, after which a fierce fire broke out in it, which was later extinguished. However, after this attack, the threat of radiation has spread throughout Europe. On the other hand, an Indian student had to be hospitalized after being shot in Kyiv today in Russian shelling.

Reports have claimed that the Russian army has taken possession of Ukraine’s Zaporizhia Nuclear Plant. This nuclear plant supplies about 25 to 30 percent of the country’s nuclear power.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that if Ukraine passes into the hands of Russian forces, the next target could be the Baltic states. He also said that direct talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin are the only way to end the war.

PM Modi reviews meeting on war

Prime Minister Modi held a high level review meeting on Ukraine-Russia war. Union Minister Piyush Goyal, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar along with NSA Ajit Doval attended the meeting. According to the information, the evacuation of Indians trapped in Ukraine has been discussed in this meeting.

Indians to be removed from 130 Russian buses

Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, head of Russia’s National Defense Control Center, announced that 130 Russian buses have been prepared to ferry Indian students and other foreigners from Kharkiv and Sumy to Russia’s Belgorod region. Significantly, this decision was taken in the second round of meeting between Russia and Ukraine, which will now be implemented. In this meeting, both the sides had agreed to build a humanitarian corridor.
