India registers easy win in 1st ODI against West Indies

The first match of the three ODI series between India and West Indies was played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This also happened to be team India’s 1000th ODI. Team India won this match by 6 wickets. After the brilliant performance of the bowlers, the Indian batsmen also showed their wonder. Now India is ahead 1-0 in the three-match series. Earlier, the West Indies team was bundled out for just 176 runs in this match.

Team India won the first match

Chasing 177 runs against West Indies, the Indian team comfortably achieved the target by losing just 4 wickets. The performance of Indian batsmen was also amazing in this match. Captain Rohit played the highest innings of 60 runs for India. While Suryakumar Yadav scored 34 not out and Deepak Hooda scored 26 not out. Ishan Kishan also scored 28 runs. Virat Kohli scored 8 and Rishabh Pant scored 11 runs.

Spinners take charge

Indian bowlers have shown a wonderful game from the beginning of the match. First Mohammad Siraj gave India the initial success. He showed Shai Hope the way to the pavilion. At the same time, Washington Sundar took two wickets in his one over. He was aptly supported by Yuzvendra Chahal who wreaked havoc and presented a sample of excellent bowling.
