Over 1 crore teens receive both dose of vaccine

Vaccination campaigns against Covid-19 infection are in full swing in the country. Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted that more than one crore children in the age group of 15 to 18 have been given both doses of the vaccine against Covid.

Vaccination of children on mission mode

On January 3, 2022, vaccination of 15 to 18 age group started against Corona in the country. This campaign has been started to protect children from corona infection. Apart from UP, Gujarat, Assam, Delhi, West Bengal, Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, vaccination of children is going on in many states.

Registration started in early January

Registration for vaccination of children was started in the country from January 1. In the initial phase, more than 12 lakh children in the age group of 15 to 18 years had registered for the vaccination. Registration for the vaccine is still ongoing on the Cowin portal. Apart from this, children can register directly by going to the vaccination center and they will also be vaccinated immediately.

Ready on every front against Covid

The need for a booster dose of the vaccine was felt during the third wave of Covid-19 in the country. Due to which booster dose is being given by the Health Department to health workers, frontline workers and elderly people suffering from other diseases above the age of 60 years. Significantly, assembly elections are to be held in five states of the country. In such a situation, a booster dose of Covid is also being given to the polling personnel. So that there is a security cordon against infection during election duty.
