HDFC Bank board declares dividend for FY 2021-22

Private sector HDFC Bank has announced a dividend of 1550 per cent i.e. Rs 15.50 per share to its shareholders for the financial year 2021-22.

HDFC Bank said in an information given to the stock exchange that its board of directors has recommended a dividend of Rs 15.50 on one rupee share out of the net profit for the financial year ended March 31, 2022. This decision is subject to the approval of the shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting.

The date for determining the eligibility of members entitled to receive dividend on equity shares has been fixed as May 13, 2022. The country’s largest private sector lender HDFC Bank reported a 23 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 10,055.20 crore for the March quarter on a standalone basis.

Earlier this month the merger of its parent company HDFC Ltd with HDFC Bank was announced. However, after initial high there was large scale selling seen in this stock.
