BA.4 and BA.5 corona variants reported for the first time in Maharashtra

For the first time in Maharashtra, four patients of B.A.4 and 3 patients of B.A.5 variant of Corona have been confirmed. The State Health Department has given this information on Saturday. According to the information, all the patients have minor symptoms of corona and all are being treated in home isolation. Significantly, in April, sub-variants of Omicron were confirmed in many parts of the world including South Africa. But till now no case of all this variant of Corona was found in India.

The Institute of Science Education and Research has confirmed this variant, while the Indian Biological Data Center in Faridabad has confirmed it. These variants have been confirmed in seven patients, all of whom are residents of Pune. According to officials, four patients had B.A.4. While three patients have B.A.5. infected with 5 variants. According to the information, four of these are men and three are women. It is being told that out of the infected patients, four patients are above 50 years of age while two are in the age group of 20-40 years. One of these patients is a nine-year-old child.

According to the information, all 6 adults have got both the vaccines of corona while one of them has also taken a booster shot. The corona infected child has not been vaccinated. It is being told that all these patients had mild symptoms of Covid-19 and now they are being isolated and treated completely. According to officials, these samples were taken between May 4 and 18. Two people found infected had traveled to South Africa and Belgium. Apart from these, three people had traveled to Kerala and Karnataka. No travel record has been found in the two people found infected.
