Chetestwar Pujara returns in Test squad after successful county stint

Cheteshwar Pujara has got the reward of good performance in county cricket. He has once again returned to the Indian Test team. On Sunday, the BCCI announced the squad for the one-off Test against England to be held from July 1. This match could not be held last year due to Corona. Team India is currently leading 2-1 in the series. Pujara was playing for Sussex in county cricket recently. He had scored 4 centuries in 4 consecutive matches. Cheteshwar Pujara, playing for Sussex, scored 6 and 201 not out in the first match. Then scored 109, 12 in the second match, 203 in the third match and 16 and 170 not out in the fourth match. However, in the last match, he got a chance to bat in only one innings. He scored 3 runs in this innings. That is, 720 runs were scored in 8 innings while performing brilliantly. Cheteshwar Pujara’s first class career record is also very good. He has scored 17668 runs in 382 innings of 231 matches at an average of 52. He had scored 54 centuries and 70 half-centuries. He also played the best innings of 352 runs.
