Senior AAP leader Col Ajay Kothiyal resigns from party membership

Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Col Ajay Kothiyal has resigned from the membership of the party. He has sent his resignation letter to Aam Aadmi Party’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal. Colonel Kothiyal was the face of AAP’s chief ministerial post in the Uttarakhand assembly elections.

Col Kothiyal sends resignation letter to Arvind Kejriwal

It was reported that Colonel Ajay Kothiyal has written in his resignation letter to Arvind Kejriwal that ‘I have been a member of Aam Aadmi Party from April 19, 2021 to today, May 18. Keeping in mind the sentiments of ex-servicemen, ex-paramilitary, elderly, women, youth and intellectuals, today on 18th May 2022, I am sending my resignation from the membership of the party.’

Lost assembly elections from Gangotri assembly seat

Colonel Ajay Kothiyal, who was the chief ministerial face of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly elections this year, contested from the Gangotri assembly seat of Uttarkashi district. He got 6,161 votes. In terms of percentages he got 10.33 percent votes.
