Uttarakhand corona update: 24 cases found on 5 May
Corona infection is gaining momentum in the state. On Thursday also 24 new cases of corona were found, while the infection rate was 1.54 percent. It is a matter of relief that no patient has died due to corona. At the same time, 17 patients have recovered. At present there are 118 active cases of corona in the state. Dehradun has the highest number of 79 active cases. While there are ten active cases in Haridwar and eight in Nainital.
According to the Health Department, test reports of 1562 samples have been received from private and government labs in the last 24 hours. Of these, the report of 1538 samples has come negative. In Dehradun, maximum eight people have been found corona infected. Apart from this, three each have been found infected in Haridwar, Nainital, Almora and Udham Singh Nagar, two in Tehri and one each in Pauri and Champawat. No new case of corona infection has been found in Bageshwar, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi.
239 samples have been sent from different districts for corona investigation. This year there have been 92,486 cases of corona in the state. Out of these, 88,861 (96.08 percent) people have defeated Corona. This year 275 patients have also died due to corona infection.
