There are many tourist places full of natural beauty in the remote region of Kumaon-Garhwal in the state. But the tourism department is not in a position to build tourist accommodation in these places by spending crores of rupees. As an alternative to this, the tourism department has decided to develop Caravan Park. The tourism department will develop caravans as well as restaurants, parking, electricity and water all facilities at these places.

Luxury tents will be set up for economy class tourists. By coming here, tourists will also be able to enjoy tourism by putting up their tents. If the tourist footfall at these places is not as expected then they can be established elsewhere. Whereas, in the event of non-operation of tourist accommodation houses built by spending crores of rupees running them remains a challenge for the tourism department. Keeping this in mind, the tourism department has decided to develop Caravan Park. Tourism Development Council has started such caravan park in Garhi Cantt of Dehradun.

These facilities will be available: LCD, satellite TV, GPRS, navigation system, washroom, pantry, coffee maker, micro wave etc. will be available to the tourists in the caravan. Sitting in it, you will be able to feel like traveling at home. Through caravan, tourists can make Uttarakhand trip memorable in remote areas, forests and along the banks of rivers. Due to the accommodation, food facilities in the caravan, tourists will not have to book the hotel separately.
