Commonwealth Games 2022: Historic Gold-Silver finish for India in men’s triple jump

Indian players have created history in triple jump at commonwealth games 2022. India’s Eldhose Paul and Abdulla Aboobacker Narangolintevid made it to the first two places of the event. Eldhose won the gold with a distance of 17.03 metres. At the same time, Abdullah Aboobacker has captured the silver medal with a distance of 17.02 meters. India’s Praveen Chitrale finished fourth and was just 0.03 meters away from winning the bronze medal. He covered a distance of 16.89 metres.

Bronze medal in the 10,000m walk

Sandeep won the bronze medal in the men’s 10,000m walk. He completed his race in 38:42.33 minutes. Evans of Canada won the gold medal by finishing his race in 38.37.36 minutes.

2 Gold’s in Boxing

In boxing, Amit Panghal won the gold medal in the men’s 48-51 kg weight category. He defeated Kiaran MacDonald of England 5-0 and brought the country its second gold medal in boxing today.

Earlier, Neetu Ghanghas won the gold medal in the women’s 45-48 kg weight category. She defeated Demi Jade of England 5-0 in the final match. This was India’s 14th gold medal in Commonwealth Games 2022.

Bronze for Indian women Hockey team

Indian women’s hockey team defeated New Zealand to win bronze medal. In regular time both the teams scored one goal each. After this, India defeated New Zealand in the penalty shootout to win the bronze medal.
