Stock market snaps 8 day bull run

After 8 days of rally, profit-booking was seen in the stock market and the market finally closed in the red mark. Midcap, smallcap stocks saw most of the selling in today’s trading. Realty, bank and FMCG stocks declined, while IT stocks saw buying. On the other hand, there was pressure on auto, pharma stocks. At the end of trading, the Sensex closed at 59,646.15, down 651.85 points, or 1.08 per cent. On the other hand, Nifty closed at 17,727.20, down 229.30 points or 1.28 per cent.

The market was closed on the green mark on Thursday

In the previous trading session, on Thursday, the 30-share Sensex opened weak in early trade but finally closed at 60,298 points, up 37.87 points, or 0.06 per cent. The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 17,956.50 with a gain of 12.25 points, or 0.07 per cent.

Tata MF launches Tata Housing Opportunities Fund

Tata Housing Opportunities Fund has been launched by Tata Mutual Fund. This is the third fund in this category. The objective of this fund is to take advantage of the increasing demand for homes. This fund will invest in many businesses related to the housing sector for high returns. Tata’s housing fund will invest more in the shares of companies related to building materials. This new fund offer has opened on 16th August.

HDFC Mutual Fund launches Silver ETF

HDFC Asset Management Company Limited has launched Silver Exchange Traded Fund (Silver ETF), which is an open-ended scheme. HDFC Silver ETF has opened for subscription on August 18, 2022. Under this, up to 26 assets can be invested in Silver ETFs.
