Ankita Bhandari murder case: Provisional postmortem report reveals death due to drowning
There is anger in the whole country regarding the Ankita Bhandari murder case of Uttarakhand. New revelations are constantly being made in this matter. Meanwhile, Ankita’s provisional post-mortem report has arrived. In this report, antemortem injuries on Ankita’s body have been confirmed. However, according to the report, Ankita died due to drowning in water. On Saturday, a panel of four doctors of AIIMS Rishikesh conducted the post-mortem.
Injury marks found on Ankita’s body
After the provisional post-mortem report came out, it is believed that Ankita was first injured then she was thrown into the canal, where she died. Ankita Bhandari worked as a receptionist at a resort in Rishikesh. On September 18, she went to Rishikesh with the owner of the resort Pulkit Arya. She had gone missing since then. During this, Pulkit was accompanied by managers Saurabh Bhaskar and Ankit alias Pulkit Gupta.

The accused made the missing report
A day after this i.e. on September 19, Pulkit Arya, the owner of the resort, lodged a missing report of Ankita at the revenue police post. But no trace of her was found. Ankita’s family also demanded to hand over the matter to the regular police. But they were not listened to. After this, after the intervention of the Women’s Commission and heavy pressure from social media, the matter was handed over to the Rishikesh Police.
Police disclosed the matter in 24 hours
While disclosing this case in 24 hours, the police found 3 accused guilty including the owner of the resort Pulkit Arya. In the investigation of the police, it was found that on September 18, at 8 pm, Ankita had left for Rishikesh with the accused, but when these three accused returned to the resort at night Ankita was not with them.
Police investigation revealed that the accused used to pressure Ankita Bhandari to have physical relationship with the guests on the pretext of offering “special services”. On refusing, Ankita had an argument with the hotel owner and other accused. A similar incident took place on the evening of September 18 as well.
