Roger Federer to team up with Rafael Nadal for final match of professional career

Roger Federer will team up with longtime on-court rival Rafael Nadal for the final match of his illustrious career, Laver Cup’s organizers announced on Thursday. The 20-time Grand Slam champion will play doubles with Nadal, who has won 22 majors at the O2 arena in London on Friday.

Final Fedal match

Federer, who announced his retirement last week will put an end to his storied career playing alongside his greatest opponent Rafael Nadal. The Federer-Nadal ‘Fedal’ rivalry has given many epic matches and memorable moments for the fans to remember. With Federer deciding to call it a day on his career this will be the final time Fedal will be on-court for a professional match. Apart from Federer and Nadal, 21 time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic and fellow ‘Big 4’ member Andy Murray too will be seen in action for team Europe.

The Laver Cup is a team competition pitting Team Europe against Team World. This will be the fifth edition of the tournament with team Europe winning all the previous four editions.
