Student shot inside classroom in Allahabad University

Nagendra Singh, a student of MA 1st year, was shot in the class room of Allahabad Central University by a student preparing for the competitive exam. The injured student is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

Senior Superintendent of Police Akash Kulhari said that the accused has been identified as Sardar Singh, who resides in Badlapur of Jaunpur. According to preliminary investigation, this attack was carried out under personal animosity. In the attack, the injured student is out of danger. He was shot on the left side of his chest. However, the injury is not serious and he is out of danger. Nagendra, a resident of Jasra, is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

He said that three years ago, Nagendra had a fierce battle with Sardar Singh for the Hindu hostel, and later Sardar Singh was fired from the hostel, for taking revenge, he entered the class and fired it on Nagendra. At the same time, Colonel Police Station Officer-in-Charge Alok Mishra said that the arrest orders for the accused student has been released.

Meanwhile, in another case, the University’s AN 27-year-old SS Pal, a research student living in Jha’s hostel. Pal committed suicide by hanging himself in his room last night. He was depressed for many years.

Mishra said that the cure was being treated for a long time. Pal’s parents of West Bengal had already died. Last night when his companion reached his room he found him hanging. Since there is no one in his family, therefore, Allahabad University administration will make the last rites of Pal.
