Uttarakhand weather update: Rains expected in most parts of state on 15 September
The weather has changed in Uttarakhand. There is acover of clouds all over the state and the sequence of showers has started at some places.
According to the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of heavy rain in most areas of the state on Thursday. Especially in Kumaon, an orange alert has been issued regarding heavy to very heavy rainfall. Apart from this, there may be heavy rain in the mountainous areas of Garhwal.
There is a possibility of thunder and thundershowers in the plains. There is a possibility of lightning at some places. The weather conditions have changed again in the state. The rains has started in most areas including capital Dehradun with thick cloud cover.
On Wednesday, the marginal areas of Kumaon received light rain in the afternoon and light to moderate rain continued in many areas at night as well. Here, in most areas in Dehradun, there was heavy rain with strong winds.
Two days holiday in schools in Rudraprayag
Light showers were also recorded in Chamoli and Rudraprayag. In view of the warning of the Meteorological Department, a two-day holiday has been declared for schools in the border districts of Rudraprayag.
