CM Dhami inaugurates Gauchar Fair 2022
The 70th State Industrial Development and Cultural Fair has started grandly fair in Gauchar. State Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami formally inaugurated the Gauchar fair 2022. During this, the Chief Minister announced to develop the historic Gauchar fair ground as a mini stadium and to give 10 lakhs for the successful operation of the Gauchar fair.
Gauchar Fair famous state fair of Uttarakhand
Addressing a huge gathering at the Gauchar fair, the Chief Minister said that due to the coordination of culture, market and industry, the Gauchar fair is a famous state fair and year after year this fair is touching its heights. He appreciated the district administration for giving grand and attractive appearance to the fair.
The Chief Minister said that this unique and historical fair is one of the major fairs of our state and most of the departments of the government participate in it. Fairs are like rainbow colors in our life and fill freshness and enthusiasm in life. In ancient times, when there were no such facilities of communication and transport, these fairs greatly helped in weaving the social fabric and expanded the social and practical circle of the people.
Most of the fairs in our country and especially in Uttarakhand have been the medium of cultural reconciliation, but the Gochar Fair is special, because apart from spreading the shade of culture, this fair also increases the business opportunities of the people here. The tableaux displayed in this fair have displayed the unique and multifaceted culture of Uttarakhand.
Target to increase gross domestic product
The Chief Minister said that our main goal is to increase the GDP of Uttarakhand and for this industrial development is of utmost importance and it is very necessary to strengthen the infrastructure for industrial development. For this, ‘we are paying special attention in the areas of road connectivity, rail connectivity, energy etc.’
