Uttarakhand Winter assembly session 2022 to start in Doon from November 29

The winter session of the Assembly will begin from November 29 in Dehradun. After getting the green signal from the Governor, the Vidhansabha Secretariat issued its notification on Tuesday.

The Legislative Department had recently sent a proposal to the Legislative Assembly to hold the winter session in Dehradun from November 29 to December 5. The Assembly Secretariat had sent it to the Governor for approval. After getting the approval, the Vidhansabha Secretariat issued the notification for the session.

Assembly Speaker Ritu Bhushan Khanduri has held an all-party meeting to decide the date and place of holding the session.

The main opposition party Congress is standing in favor of holding the session in Gairsain, but at the same time it has also raised questions on lack of necessary facilities there. On the other hand, according to the rules, the assembly session should be held within a period of six months. From this point of view, according to the last session, the winter session is to be held before 16 December. In view of this, exercise was started recently.
