Accident in Delhi: Woman hit by car dies; body dragged for many kilometers

A tragic case has come to light in Delhi on New Year. As per media reports, a car hit a woman riding a scooty, after this her body got entangled with the car and was dragged for about 4 kilometers in Delhi’s Sultanpuri area in the early hours of Sunday. this caused her death. The driver hit the woman riding the scooty. Police has arrested five people in this case. The clothes of the woman were torn after dragging the dead body for several kilometres.

According to the police, a PCR call was received at Kanjhawala police station at 03:24 am that a car was seen being dragged along with a dead body. Another PCR call was received at 4:11 am, in which the girl’s body was said to be lying on the road.

 

After that the police informed the officers posted on the picket and started the search operation of the vehicle. The crime team of Rohini district police reached the spot and inspected the spot. After that they took pictures of the spot from different angles. The body was sent to SGM Hospital, Mangolpuri, where she was declared brought dead. The body has been kept in the mortuary of the hospital.

During the investigation, the suspect car was also traced. Five people have been arrested in the case. During interrogation, it was told that they is an employee of a private company. The youths claimed that their car collided with a scooty in Sultanpuri police station area.
