Chardham Yatra 2023: Know when Chardham Yatra will restart

The Chardham Yatra will begin in Uttarakhand from April 22 this year. According to the Badri-Kedar Temple Committee, the portals of Gangotri and Yamunotri will open on April 22 on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. Purohit Mahasabha President Purushottam Uniyal and Secretary Shri Panch Gangotri Temple Committee Suresh Semwal told that auspicious time and auspicious time will be decided on the Shashti Tithi of Yamuna Jayanti Chaitra Shukla. Along with this, the doors of Kedarnath temple will be opened on 26 April. At the same time, the date of opening of the doors of Badrinath Dham has also been announced on Thursday. This year the doors of Badrinath will open on April 27 at 7:10 am.

Last year more than 46 lakh pilgrims reached Chardham

In 2022, two years after the Corona period, the Chardham Yatra, which went on without restrictions, set a new record last year. For the first time, more than 46 lakh pilgrims visited the Char Dhams. The Chardham Yatra came to an end with the closing of the doors of Badrinath Dham on 19th November.

Last year 17,60,646 devotees reached Badrinath Dham. At the same time, 624451 pilgrims reached Gangotri Dham in record numbers while 485635 pilgrims reached Yamunotri Dham last season. A record more than 15 lakh devotees reached the Kedarnath Yatra.
