Haldwani encroachment case: SC to decide on Thursday

Uttarakhand’s Nainital High Court has ordered the demolition of illegal encroachment on 29 acres of railway land in Haldwani. After this order, more than 4 thousand houses will be demolished.

On Wednesday, some people protested against the decision of the Nainital High Court and approached the Supreme Court. Their demand is that the Supreme Court should stay the decision of the High Court and save thousands of people from homelessness.

Supreme Court will hear on Thursday

In this matter, a petition has been filed in the Supreme Court on January 2, 2023, which will be heard on January 5. In this matter, the meeting of preparations of Railway and District Administration has been held in the last round. Now the wait is on January 5, when the Supreme Court will hear the matter. The local people are looking very disappointed about the removal of encroachment from the railway land. They have expressed hope that they will definitely get some relief from the Supreme Court.
