Tata updates Nexon EV price, range; price starts from Rs 14.49 Lakh

Tata Motors has reduced the prices of its popular Suv Nexon EV. The base trim has got a price cut of Rs 50,000. It has come down from Rs 14.99 lakh (all prices ex-showroom) to Rs 14.49 lakh. At the same time, a new variant XM has also been added to the Nexon EV Max. Its price is 16.49 lakh rupees. The prices have been reduced on completion of 3 years of Nexon EV launch.

The company’s decision comes just a day after Mahindra revealed the price of the new fully electric XUV400. The ex-showroom price of the base variant has been kept at Rs 15.99 lakh, which goes up to Rs 18.99 lakh. These are introductory prices which will be available for the first 5000 customers. This Mahindra SUV competes with the Tata Nexon EV. The company claims it will run 456 km in single charge.

Nexon EV comes in two variants

The Nexon EV comes in two variants (Prime and Max) and comes with different charging options. With the new price update, the starting price of the EV Prime (base model) has gone up to Rs 14.49 lakh and the higher version Nexon EV Max starts at Rs 16.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the entire Nexon EV line-up have started immediately. The deliveries of the new variant Nexon EV MAX XM will start from April 2023.

Extended range of Nexon EV Max

Tata Motors has also updated the Nexon EV Max range. Now it will get a range of 453km, which was earlier 437km. That is, the range has been increased by 16 kilometers. To increase the range, customers will have to update the software.

Bookings for the entire Nexon EV Line-up is open immediately. Deliveries of the new variant, Nexon EV MAX XM will commence from April 2023 onwards.
