Chardham Yatra 2023: Know opening dates of all Dhams
This time Chardham Yatra will start from 22nd April. The government is engaged in preparations to facilitate the journey of pilgrims coming from the country and the world. The government is hopeful that the number of devotees visiting Chardham Yatra in 2023 season will create a new record.
The date for opening the doors of Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham has been fixed. The doors of Badrinath will open on April 27 and Kedarnath Dham on April 25, while according to tradition, the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham will open on April 22, the day of Akshaya Tritiya. However, the time and date of opening of the doors will be declared by the temple committees.
Two years after the Kovid pandemic, more than 45 lakh devotees visited Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri and Hemkund Sahib during the Chardham Yatra last year. In the beginning, due to the crowd gathered in the dhams, the arrangements also fell short. Devotees had to wait a long time for darshan in Dhams and for Kedarnath Helicopter booking. Looking at the experience of last year’s yatra, this time the government is making better arrangements so that the journey can be made easy.
