Jio True 5G launched in Rishikesh, Haldwani/Kathgodam and Rudrapur

Jio True 5G service has been launched in three more cities of Uttarakhand namely Rishikesh, Haldwani/Kathgodam and Rudrapur. Jio’s True 5G service has already been started in the capital Dehradun, Haridwar and Roorkee cities. With the launch in three cities on Tuesday, the number of cities connected to Jio’s True 5G network in Uttarakhand has reached 6.

With the launch of Jio True 5G services in Haldwani/Kathgodam and Rudrapur, Jio’s True 5G service has reached the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand for the first time.

Jio has today started its True 5G service in total 20 new cities of the country including three cities of Uttarakhand. With this, the number of cities connected with Jio’s True 5G has increased to 256 across the country.

Jio users of Rishikesh, Haldwani/Kathgodam and Rudrapur will be invited under the Jio Welcome Offer. Invited users will get unlimited data at 1 GBPS+ speed at no extra cost.

Speaking on the occasion, a Jio spokesperson said, “We are extremely excited to launch Jio True 5G in Rishikesh, Haldwani/Kathgodam and Rudrapur. We are grateful to the State Government for continuously supporting our efforts to digitize Uttarakhand. We have increased the speed of true 5G rollout across the country and by December 2023, the entire country will be connected to Jio true 5G.

The technological benefits of high-speed, low-latency, stand-alone true 5G services will now be available to people and businesses in Rishikesh, Haldwani/Kathgodam and Rudrapur. This will open up new opportunities for development in the areas of tourism, manufacturing, SMEs, e-governance, education, healthcare, agriculture, automation, artificial intelligence, gaming and IT.”
