Rising temperature breaks 122 year old record in February
The Indian Meteorological Department has told that in the last 122 years, this year’s February was the hottest. During this, the average temperature of the day was 1.73 degree Celsius above normal. Earlier, such a temperature was recorded in February in 1901, when the average temperature was 0.81 degree Celsius above normal. Weather experts say that in the coming 3 months, the heat can cause problems for the people. From March 1, the Meteorological Department will also issue color-coded warnings for heatwaves for the entire country.
In many areas of the country, the temperature is expected to be higher than in previous years and there is a possibility of heat wave. The day temperature is expected to be above normal. Weather experts say that along with North-East, East and Central India, the temperature in the North-West region will increase compared to the average from March. Life will be affected due to heat in India in the next three months. The effect of heatwave will be seen in many parts of the country, especially in South India, some parts of Central India, Western India and North India.
Weather experts say that this time the effect of heat can be seen from March itself. Till a few years ago, the effect of cold was seen till after Holi in March, but this time the case will prove to be opposite. The maximum temperature is between 35-37 degree Celsius over Southwest Madhya Pradesh, Southwest Rajasthan, parts of Odisha, Telangana and Tamil Nadu and most parts of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Kerala. According to the India Meteorological Department, the temperature in many parts of Punjab, Haryana Delhi, UP and Rajasthan is between 30-32 degree Celsius.
Night temperature may also increase
During the coming 3 months, there will be scorching heat during the day, so the night temperature is also expected to be above average. There is a possibility of severe heat in some areas of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. On the other hand, in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, heat wave and night temperature may remain high.
