Uttarakhand Budget 2023: FM presents a budget of 77 thousand crores, focus on employment, investment & tourism

The budget for the financial year 2023-24 was presented in the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday, the third day of the Dhami government budget session. Uttarakhand Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal presented the annual budget at Vidhan Bhavan in Bharadisain.

77407.84 crore budget presented

Finance Minister Prem Chand Aggarwal presented the budget for the financial year 2023-24 in the budget session organized in summer capital Gairsain. He presented a new budget of 77407.84 crores in the House. The Finance Minister said that every section has been taken care of in this budget. The focus has been on employment, investment and tourism in the budget.

Uttarakhand Budget 2023 Provisions:

Provision of Rs 4217.87 crore for Health Department

  • Provision of Rs 400 crore for Atal Ayushman.
  • Provision of 400 crores for the construction of Medical College and Nursing College

Provision of Rs 815.66 crore in Horticulture Department

  • Rs 200 crore provision for polyhouse.
  • A provision of 35 crore has been made under the Mission Apple scheme.

Provision of Rs 302.04 crore for tourism department

  • Rs 63 crore for Uttarakhand State Tourism Development Council.
  • Rs 60 crores for the construction of infrastructure for tourism development.
  • Rs 63 crore for Uttarakhand State Tourism Development Council.
  • Rs 60 crores for the construction of infrastructure for tourism development.
  • Rs 15 crores for the construction of Tehri lake development.
  • Rs 10 crore for construction and development of basic facilities on Char Dham Yatra/routes.
  • Rs 50 crores for the purchase of land at Chardham and various places under the tourism department.

Provision of Rs 461.31 crores for Industries Department

  • Rs 100 crore for work force development
  • Provision of Rs 40 crore for Chief Minister Self Employment Scheme.
  • Rs 30 crore provision for Promotion of Investment Startup and Entrepreneurship scheme.
  • Rs 26 crores for grants to industries under various policies.

Provision of Rs 10459.55 crore in Education and Youth Welfare Department

  • Provision of 51 crores for excellent cluster school
  • Rs 11 crores for scholarship in Chief Minister Pratibha Protsahan Yojana.
  • A provision of 133.53 crore has been made under the State Public Service Commission.
  • Provision of 92.78 crore for PM Shri scheme.

Provision of Rs 2850.24 crore for Social Welfare, Women and Child Welfare Department

  • A provision of Rs 250 crore has been made for destitute widow pension.
  • Provision of Rs 35 crores for Kisan Pension Yojana.
  • A provision of Rs 282.50 crore has been made for the Nanda Gaura scheme.
  • Rs 26.72 crore for Chief Minister Bal Poshan Abhiyan Yojana.
  • Provision of Rs 23 crores for Chief Minister Vatsalya Yojana.
  • Rs 19.95 crore for Chief Minister Mahalaxmi Yojana.

Provision of Rs 1294.15 crores for Agriculture Department

  • Provision of Rs 15 crores for Millet Mission.
  • A provision of Rs 20 crores has been made for promotion of local crops.

Provision of Rs 2791.83 crore for Public Works Department

  • A provision of Rs 850.47 crore has been made under the maintenance item for maintenance.
  • Provision of Rs 1318.30 crores under major construction item for new construction

Provision of Rs 1251.33 crore for Energy department

  • A provision of Rs 500 crore has been made under the Lakhwad project.

Provision of Rs 1443:42 crore for irrigation department

  • Rs 110 crore under Song Dam for Dehradun drinking water.

Other important decisions

  • 1000 crores for landslide and relief work in Joshimath and other places.
  • Provision of Rs 100 crores for G-20 Summit.
  • Refreshment allowance of NCC cadets increased. The allowance has been increased from Rs 15 per plate to Rs 45 per plate.
  • The focus has been on nutrition teacher training.
