Pak stops Samjhauta express according to Pak media reports

Pakistan has been troubled since the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan has now stopped the Samjhauta Express. This information is coming from the Pakistan media. Earlier Pakistan had reduced diplomatic relations with India.

Pakistan has refused to send its train driver and guard with Samjhauta Express. On this matter, Superintendent of Attari International Railway Station, Arvind Kumar Gupta told that today Samjhauta Express from Pakistan was to come to India, but during this time a message came from Pakistan that Indian Railways should send its driver and crew member to take Samjhauta Express. He told that Pakistani Railways has taken this decision due to security reasons. Now Indian railway drivers and guards who have visas will be sent to pick up the Samjhauta Express.

Since the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan has been steadfast in the Kashmir issue. Whereas India has clearly stated it as an internal matter. Pakistan has made the decision to remove 370 from Kashmir an international issue. Pakistan Ambassador to the UN Mali Lodhi raised this issue in the UN today. He said that “today I met Maria Louisa Ribeiro Viotti, Chief of Staff of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. Informed about India’s decision on Kashmir in front of them and said that the UN should intervene to make the Security Council resolutions compliant.”

Pakistan closed the airways

Islamabad has closed three of the 9 airways for Indian aircrafts after tensions between India and Pakistan increased after the abolition of Article 370 of the Constitution granting special status to Jammu and Kashmir. This is the second such step this year by Pakistan which will affect the flights of national carrier Air India to other places including Europe, America and Central Asia.

The journey time of about 50 flights will be increased by about 10 to 15 minutes. A senior Air India official told IANS, “The major routes we use for long distance journeys are still open, and we have received information that the remaining airways will also be closed.”

The major airline had already suffered a huge loss of 430 crores due to the closure of its airways by Pakistan. Pakistan took this step after the Indian Air Force carried out an air strike in Balakot in February.
