Key decisions of Uttarakhand cabinet meeting on 3rd August

About 30 decisions were discussed in the cabinet meeting and 18 major decisions have been taken in today’s cabinet meeting in Uttarakhand.

Key decisions of Uttarakhand Cabinet Meeting on 3 August:

  • The hydropower policy was brought by the central government in 2008 in the Department of Energy. It was not implemented till date, which was implemented in the cabinet meeting today.
  • Instead of 12 percent electricity, now 13 percent electricity will be taken from hydroelectric projects.
  • The 1 percent extra electricity that the government will get, that money will be given to the people affected by the hydropower project.
  • The authority of many officers in the Finance Department has been increased
  • Approval to make Mussoorie area a complete tehsil
  • Approval given to new rules under PWD department
  • Stamped on April 1 for admission in first class under the new education policy at 6 years
  • Amendment in the rules in the Minor Irrigation Department, now there will be 85 percent direct recruitment.
  • The personnel of clerical cadre of field and headquarters were merged in the Department of AYUSH
  • Amendment in rules in Police Telecom Department, 2 new posts of 8700 grade pay approved
  • The land given in Rudrapur under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will now be given to the District Development Authority.
  • In the new MSME policy, now Uttarakhand will be divided into only 4 categories. The subsidy has been increased the most in the hills. Subsidy will be less in the plains, that means setting up industry in the mountain will be beneficial.
  • Karnataka model will be followed in skill development, Tata and other companies will adopt 13 ITI institutes, Modern ITI will be made
  • Now it will be mandatory for people of all religions to register their marriage
  • Master plan for redevelopment of Haridwar and Rishikesh city will be prepared, High Power Committee constituted under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary
