Medal winning players to get direct jobs in six departments in Uttarakhand, order issued
Players who win medals at national and international level in 32 sports including boxing and athletics will get direct jobs in six Uttarakhand government departments. The government has issued an order in this regard. According to Sports Minister Rekha Arya, this will encourage the players and their future will also be secure.
According to the government order, players will be given jobs in the pay scale of Rs 2000 to Rs 5400 in the Sports Department, Youth Welfare Department, Home Department, Forest Department, Secondary Education and Transport Department. Gold, silver, bronze medal winners in Olympic Games, Paralympic Games will be given direct employment on the post in the pay scale of Rs 5400.
Players will get jobs at the pay scale of Rs 2000 to Rs 2800
Whereas gold medal winners in World Cup, World Championship, Commonwealth and Asian Games will be given jobs at the pay scale of Rs 5400, silver medal winners will be given jobs at Rs 4800 and bronze medal winners and medal winners in National and SAIF Games will be given jobs at the pay scale of Rs 2000 to Rs 2800.
