Uttarakhand weather update: Rains continue in the state
The rainy weather has again returned in Uttarakhand. After the sultry heat of the last two days, the weather has become mild at most places in the state. It is raining at most places in the state. Due to rain, people have got relief from the humid heat but there is also problem of waterlogging at many places. Today there is a possibility of heavy rain in most areas of the state.
Continuous drizzle in Doon
After Dehradun remained cloudy since last night, a period of showers and thunderstorms started in the early morning. It has rained in most parts of the city in the morning.
According to Bikram Singh, Director of Meteorological Center, today there may be heavy rainfall with thunder at isolated places in Dehradun, Nainital, Champawat, Chamoli and Bageshwar. Yellow alert has been issued regarding this. There is a possibility of light to moderate showers in other districts also.
Light rain is also occurring in Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. There has been light snowfall on the high hills of Gangotri and Yamunotri. Chardham Yatra is also on going.
