124 Corona cases detected in Uttarakhand today; 99 containment zones in state
Total Positive cases in the state crosses 2300; Recovery rate almost 63 percent
The number of containment zones is also increasing with the increase of corona infected cases daily in the state. The number of containment zones in five districts is going nearing one hundred. At the same time, 50 areas have been declared as Containment Zone in Haridwar district alone.
Containment zones are being created by the district administration to prevent corona infection. According to the health department report, the number of containment zones in five districts of the state has gone up to 99.
In this, 50 have been declared in Haridwar district, 36 in Dehradun, 10 in Tehri, two in Udham Singh Nagar and one in Uttarkashi district. The categories of red, orange and green zones of districts have been abolished due to unlock phase.
Now the government’s focus is on the Containment Zone. The area is being sealed by making it a containment zone if several corona are infected from the same place. There is a complete ban on activities other than essential services in the Containment Zone.
15 corona positives have been found in Uttarkashi district. Of these, nine have come in Delhi, two in Haryana, two in Gurugram, one in Noida and one. 11 corona-infected in Almora district have come from Delhi. Of the seven infected from Chamoli district, six have come from Delhi and one from Gurugram. The travel history of the five infected in Delhi is in Nainital district. Five infected have been found in Bageshwar. Three of them have returned from Delhi, one Gurugram, one from Gautam Buddha Nagar.
