2630 corona cases reported in Uttarakhand on 18 April

In Uttarakhand on Sunday, when all offices and organizations barring those involved in essential services were closed, there was no slowing down of Corona cases. A total of 2630 new cases were reported in Uttarakhand on April 18. The figure for total infected patients has reached 124033. In Dehradun alone, 1281 new cases and 572 new cases were reported in Haridwar. According to the Health Bulletin released on Sunday, 20 cases were reported from Almora, 15 from Bageshwar, 61 from Chamoli, 15 from Champawat, 1281 from Dehradun, 572 from Haridwar, 186 from Nainital, 133 from Pauri, 14 from Pithoragarh, 18 from Rudraprayag, 129 from Tehri, 161 from US Nagar and 25 from Uttarkashi district. The total number of active cases in the state has increased to 17293.

The infection rate is 3.72 percent. So the recovery rate has fallen to 82.53 percent. 102367 patients have also been cured. The number of patients recovering on Sunday stood at 708. On Sunday, 30191 patient reports came negative. 33332 samples sent to the investigation. Report of 25743 samples is yet to come. A total of 12 patients died on Sunday. Among them, the age of the dead is between 33 years to 85 years. A total of 1868 patients have died so far. The number of containment zones in the state has increased to 86. It includes 26 in Nainital, 8 in Haridwar, 44 in Dehradun, 3 each in Pauri and Champawat, 1 each in Uttarkashi and Udham Singh Nagar.

This time youth most affected by Corona

Along with the increase in cases of corona virus in the country, there have also been signs of change in its symptoms. This time the corona is affecting the youth more than the elderly. This time, there have been some such patients who do not have fever and colds, but they have been found to be corona infected.

Fine of Rs 500 for not wearing mask

The state government has started imposing further restrictions in view of the increasing infection of Corona. Now only 100 people will be able to attend the wedding ceremony instead of 200. Failure to wear a mask will now attract a fine of 500 rupees instead of 200 rupees. Not only this, persons coming from outside the state will not be allowed to enter the border without bringing a negative report of RTPCR.

Those coming to Chardham Yatra and Hemkund Sahib Yatra will also be required to bring negative report of RTPCR. On Sunday, Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat called an emergency meeting of officials at the Bijapur guest house to review the corona infection. He said that the guideline should be strictly followed to ensure that the situation does not worsen in future. Assessing the situation further, dedicated Covid Hospitals should be built. Focus should be placed on maximum testing. The Chief Minister said that it should be ensured that there is no black marketing of medicines required for the treatment of Covid.
