The Election Commission announced the dates of the assembly elections for 5 states

The Election Commission on Monday announced the dates of assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram. The election process in these 5 states will last for 27 days. Voting will be held first in Mizoram on 7 November. After this, voting will be held in Madhya Pradesh on 17th November.

Voting will be held in Chhattisgarh in two phases on November 7 and November 17. Then votes will be cast in Rajasthan on 23 November and Telangana on 30 November. Results will come simultaneously in all 5 states on 3rd December, 2023. BJP is currently in power in Madhya Pradesh, while Congress is in power in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. While KCR’s party BRS is in power in Telangana, Mizo National Front is in power in Mizoram.

This time 60.2 lakh first time voters

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar told in the press conference on Monday that there are a total of 16.14 crore voters in these states. Of these, 8.2 crore are male and 7.8 crore are female voters. This time 60.2 lakh new voters will cast their vote for the first time. Their age is between 18 to 19 years. There are 15.39 lakh voters who are about to complete 18 years and whose advance applications have been received.

Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2023 Dates

Voting will take place in Madhya Pradesh 5 days after Diwali. Voting will be held on all 230 seats of the state in a single phase on November 17. The results will come 16 days later on December 3.

Rajasthan Assembly Elections 2023 Dates 2023

Voting will be held in a single phase on all 200 assembly seats of Rajasthan. Voting will be held on 23rd November and the election results will be declared after 10 days on 3rd December. With the announcement of elections, the code of conduct has come into force in the state.

Voting in 2 phases in Chhattisgarh

In Chhattisgarh, voting will be held on 20 seats on 7th November and 70 seats on 17th November. Elections will be held in Chhattisgarh in 2 phases. Voting will be held in the first phase on November 7 and in the second phase on November 17. The election results will be announced on December 3.
