Uttarakhand cabinet meeting: 15 proposals approved including allowances to government employees
An important meeting of the state cabinet was held today (October 30) at 12 noon in the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. In this meeting, decisions related to industrial development, women empowerment, forests, public works department, tourism and urban development were taken. In the cabinet meeting, many important bills including dams for rain water conservation, option of old pension to the personnel who appeared in the recruitment examination till October 1, 2005 were approved.
Major decisions of cabinet meeting on 30 October
- Check dams will be built for rain water conservation
- Guptkashi and Kempty were made Nagar Panchayat and Munikireti became Municipal Council.
- The personnel who appeared in the recruitment examination till October 1, 2005 will also get the option of old pension.
- Check dams will be built to stop rain water in hilly areas
- Subsidy will be available on scrapping 15 year old vehicles 15% tax rebate on commercial, 250% tax rebate on private vehicles
- Herb production approved in forest panchayats. Production will be done in five thousand hectare area within 10 years
- 35 thousand fourth class employees will get uniform allowance of Rs 2400 annually.
- Subsidy will also be available on installing solar heater at home
- Subsidy will also be available on expansion of old industries
- Doing ITI after 8th, you will get high school certificate, students will have to pass in Hindi paper for this.
Silence on the death of MLA Sarwat Karim before the cabinet meeting
On the demise of MLA Sarwat Karim Ansari, before the start of the cabinet meeting on Monday in the Secretariat, the cabinet paid tribute to him by observing two minutes silence. After this the proceedings of the meeting were started.
