Uttarakhand weather update: Onset of winter season with cooler mornings & evenings
After the departure of monsoon from Uttarakhand, the weather across the state is likely to remain dry in the coming week. Due to sunshine from plains to mountains, there is a possibility of mercury rising in the plains during the afternoon. However, the weather will remain pleasant in the morning and evening signifying onset of winters.
On Wednesday, an increase of one to two degrees Celsius was recorded in the temperature in the plains in the afternoon. The weather remained clear in Chardham also. The maximum temperature of Doon was 32.9 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal, and the minimum temperature was 19.4 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal.
The temperature has increased during the day due to bright sunshine. The maximum temperature of Pantnagar was recorded at 33.3 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, and the minimum temperature was recorded at 22.6 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal. The maximum temperature of Mukteshwar was 23.1 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal, and the minimum temperature was 12.9 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal. The maximum temperature of Tehri was 24.8 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 14.4 degrees Celsius.
