Uttarakhand government releases holiday list for 2024

The Uttarakhand government has released the holidays calendar for the year 2024. This time the government has also included Igas-Bagwal in the calendar. The government has declared a total of 29 public holidays. However, in such offices including Secretariat and Assembly, where five-day week is applicable, only 25 public holidays will be allowed. This time three holidays are falling on Sunday and one holiday is on Saturday. Only 23 holidays will be allowed in banks and treasury. Apart from this, two restricted holidays have also been kept. In such a situation, general employees will get 31 leaves and secretariat and assembly people will get 27 leaves.

In the information issued by the General Administration Department for public holidays, it has also been made clear that the District Magistrate can declare three holidays in a year on days of local importance. The Secretariat and Assembly will remain open on local holidays.
