Market made all-time high on the first day of the year

On the first day of the new year i.e. 1 January 2024, the stock market made a new all-time high. Sensex reached the level of 72,561 and Nifty 21,834. However, after this there was a slight decline and the Sensex closed at 72,271 with a gain of 31 points. At the same time, there was an increase of 10 points in Nifty, it closed at the level of 21,741. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 19 have seen a decline and 13 have seen a rise.

At the same time, Vodafone Idea’s stock has seen a rise for the second consecutive trading day. It closed at Rs 16.95 with a rise of 5.94%. This stock has increased by about 23% in two days. All 9 shares of Adani Group also witnessed a rise.

Last year Sensex rose 18% and Nifty rose 19%

In the last year i.e. 2023, there has been a good rise in the stock market. Sensex rose 18.10% and Nifty rose 19.42%. Tata Motors was the biggest rising stock on both the indices. Tata Motors almost doubled investors’ money in 2023. On January 2, this share was worth Rs 394, which increased to Rs 779 on the last trading day of 2023 i.e. December 29. Whereas midcap and small cap indices rose by about 45%.

There was a decline in the stock market on the last trading day of 2023

Earlier, a decline was seen in the stock market on the last trading day of the year 2023 i.e. 29th December. The Sensex closed at the level of 72,240 with a fall of about 170 points. At the same time, Nifty also fell by 47 points, it closed at the level of 21,731. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 17 saw a decline and 13 saw a rise.
