Uttarakhand weather update: Forecast of rain and snowfall in these districts

There has been an unusually long dry spell of rain or snowfall in many districts of Uttarakhand this winter season. 11 out of the 13 districts of the state have remained dry in January, everyone from farmers to those involved in travel & tourism having been impacted by the weather. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in the state is going to change. The department has issued a weather forecast. The department has issued a yellow alert indicating the possibility of rain and snowfall in many districts. There is also a possibility of lightning falling in many districts.

According to the information received, the Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast till February 1. In which the possibility of fog has been expressed in the plains. Whereas in the hilly districts, chances of lightning along with thunder have been reported. It is being told that on January 31 and February 1, there is a possibility of lightning along with thunder at some places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri Garhwal, Dehradun, Pauri Garhwal, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Champawat and Nainital districts of the state. Expressing this, a yellow alert has been issued.

The Meteorological Department has also expressed the possibility of very light to light rain and snowfall in areas at a height of 3000 meters in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh, and Bageshwar districts.
