Weather pattern changes in Uttarakhand, chances of rain and snowfall in high altitude areas
The weather has changed again in Uttarakhand today. It was cloudy from the mountains to the plains including the capital Dehradun. Today, there are chances of light rain and snowfall in Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh.
Meteorological Department Director Bikram Singh said that today there may be light rain and snowfall in high altitude areas. Due to increasing activity of Western Disturbance, the wind direction at the surface level has started changing. Due to changing weather cycle and climate change, sometimes sunny and sometimes rainy conditions are being created.

Queen of Hills Mussoorie, Dhanaulti and Kempty witnessed mild changes. Temperatures drop in the morning and evening. There is light cloud cover in the area around New Tehri. Cloudy sky was seen in Uttarkashi. The minimum temperature is nine degrees and maximum 24 degrees Celsius. The weather took a turn in Rudraprayag district. Clouds covered the sky. Possibility of snowfall in upper areas including Kedarnath.
