Mother Dairy to build two new processing plants

Mother Dairy, a major milk supplier in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR), is going to invest around Rs 650 crore to build two more new plants. The company will process milk and fruits in the new plant.

With this the company will meet the increasing market demand. Apart from this, Mother Dairy will invest another ₹100 crore to increase the capacity of its existing plant. News agency PTI has given this information.

Manish Bandlish, managing director, Mother Dairy Fruits and Vegetables Pvt Ltd, said, “We are spending Rs 750 crore to expand our dairy and F&V (fruits and vegetables) processing capacities at our key locations to expand our distribution network and reach customers. Are going to do.

Company building dairy plant in Nagpur at a cost of ₹525 crore

Manish told that the company is setting up a big dairy plant in Nagpur, Maharashtra with an investment of about ₹ 525 crore. This plant will process 6 lakh liters of milk daily, which will later be increased to 10 lakh litres. This plant provides service in the southern region of the country.

Company will build fruit processing plant in Karnataka

The company is also expanding its brand in Karnataka. Mother Dairy is also planning to start a new fruit processing plant in the state. The company will spend ₹125 crore in this. Both these plants in Nagpur and Karnataka will be completed in the next 2 years.

Mother Dairy currently has 9 processing plants

Mother Dairy currently has 9 processing plants. Whose daily capacity is more than 50 lakh litres. The company also does processing in third-party plants. The company has its own 4 plants in the horticulture segment. The company manufactures edible oil in 15 subsidiary plants.

Company’s turnover to be Rs 4,500 crore in 2022-23

The company’s turnover in the financial year 2022-23 was Rs 4,500 crore. According to the company, the overall growth of the company is expected to be 7% to 8% in the current financial year (2023-24).

Mother Dairy was established in 1974 under the ‘Operation Flood’ initiative. This was the world’s largest dairy development program. The company is currently a fully owned subsidiary of National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).
