On Wednesday night, a female student died after being hit by a train while making a reel on the railway track near Rahimpur gate in Roorkee. Two other students present with her narrowly escaped. Police have taken the body into custody.
According to Ganganahar Kotwali police, the student identified as Vaishali, was a student in an engineering college in Roorkee.
On Wednesday night around 8 pm, she was making a reel with friends on the track near Rahimpur railway gate. Meanwhile, Vaishali was hit by a train going from Haridwar towards Saharanpur, while the other two students present with her narrowly escaped. Vaishali died on the spot in the accident. Police reached the spot and took information about the accident.
Police informed relatives of the decased about the accident. After this, the girl’s relatives quickly reached the spot. The police have taken the body into custody. Ganganahar Kotwali in-charge Inspector Govind Kumar said that the accident occurred while making reels on the railway track. The police is investigating the case
